OUTSIDE IN

A Migrant Voice exhibition

6th December 2024 - 21st Februray 2025

[NOTE: The building is closed for the festive season between 21st December to 5th January]

Outside In is a migrant-led interactive photography exhibition which tells stories of how migrants bring the world to Scotland and have made it their home.

Outside In features people from 21 countries, from across the Middle East, Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania, exploring how migrants have influenced different areas of life, from fashion to tea brewing and martial arts. Visitors can not only learn but also contribute their insights about migrant communities and Scottish links to their countries.

This exhibition is part of the Putting Ourselves in the Picture project. It aims to ensure that migrant heritage is documented and recognised as part of Scotland’s heritage.

Outisde In has been organised by Migrant Voice and was funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund.

About Migrant Voice: a migrant-led national organisation which builds a community of migrant voices to speak for ourselves and call for justice for all. Working together across different communities they aim to transform the debate around migration, campaign to protect migrants’ rights, and challenge racism, xenophobia, and discrimination.
